At Jade Chinese School, our Chinese Class for teens is specifically designed to provide a comprehensive and engaging learning experience for students aged 10-18, whether they are just beginning their Chinese journey or looking to achieve advanced proficiency. This program focuses on practical language acquisition alongside strategic preparation for academic success.
Our offerings include classwork tutoring, tone improvement, conversation enhancement, Chinese Standard 1, 2, and 3 classes, AP/IB Chinese and HSK exam prep, and study abroad preparation for China or Taiwan.

Conversational
Teens Chinese Class
Our conversational Chinese classes for teens are designed to complement our Levels 1-3 courses to help students with real-life conversations. We focus on real-world phrases and expressions that you can use in everyday situations. Through interactive activities, discussions, and role-play, you'll build the confidence to express yourself naturally in Chinese, all in a relaxed and supportive environment that encourages communication and self-expression.
Comprehensive Teens Chinese Class
Our comprehensive Chinese classes for teens offer a complete learning experience, building strong skills in speaking, reading, writing, and typing. Our curriculum is specifically designed for teens growing up outside of Asia, ensuring relevance and engagement. A core component of our program is mastering Pinyin, which empowers you to read independently and type in Chinese with confidence. Lessons are dynamic and interactive, packed with engaging activities that make learning enjoyable and memorable. We focus on practical language use and cultural relevance to keep you motivated and confident throughout your Chinese learning journey. Classes offered online & in person near you!

Chinese Tutoring
To supplement your classwork
This Chinese tutoring program helps school students catch up to their classmates and, overtime, surpass them. It improves their grades and fosters a love for learning Chinese. These lessons build on what school students are currently learning, helping them excel academically and increase their chances of getting into top universities.
AP & IB Chinese Exam and HSK Preparation
Our curriculum is carefully designed to meet the requirements of the HSK (Hanyu Shuiping Kaoshi)* and AP or IB Chinese Language, offering targeted instruction in grammar, vocabulary, reading comprehension, listening skills, and character writing. We have a variety of programs to fit your child's needs: AP Chinese is available online and in-person for middle and high school students already taking Chinese.
​The HSK test is China's only official test of Chinese language proficiency for non-native speakers.
Chinese 1 Class
The equivalent of Chinese year 1 in middle and high school
This is a course for Chinese beginners, offered to the students who would like to learn Chinese but have not studied Mandarin Chinese year 1 at middle school or high school. The learning goal is to develop basic listening, speaking, reading, typing and writing abilities in Mandarin Chinese with 150 words commonly used in daily conversation. The advantage with Jade Chinese School is the ability to learn Chinese at a customized pace, with flexible options for class time and location, whether in-person or online.
Chinese 2 Class
The equivalent of Chinese year 2 in middle and high school
This is an intermediate level class, offered to the students who have successfully completed Chinese 1 course (in middle school, high school, or Jade Chinese School). The learning goal is to help students create their dialogues with intermediate level grammatical patterns and to enhance proficiency in oral and written skills. The advantage with Jade Chinese School is the ability to learn at a customized pace., with flexible options for class time and location, whether in-person or online.
Chinese 3 Class
The equivalent of Chinese year 3 in middle and high school
This is an in-depth continuation of the Chinese 2 class. The learning goal is to enable students to write essays, speak fluent Mandarin Chinese and have a deeper understanding of Chinese culture. With Jade Chinese School, you can progress at your pace using a customized pace. Chinese Tone Improvement Class
As a tonal language, Mandarin Chinese is often difficult for non-native Chinese speakers to discern and reproduce. We have developed an approach that helps effectively distinguish the 4 Chinese tones and pronounce these sounds. You will no longer struggle with being understood. We help you master the four tones of Mandarin, which are essential for clear communication.
